need help with dash lights...the cluster and surronding lights are dead?

I was driving today and i looked at my cluster all the lights dimmed all of a sudden i went to the dimmer and it was dimmed up all the way i even tuned it down but it stayed the same the dimer isnt working....but now my lights are completely off and i cant see anything on the dash cluster what can i do??????????

pull the dimmer out and check it with a meter ,try to find a factory wiring diagram if the dimmer checks good

which fuses should i check for also there are fuses in the driver kick panel also i see fuses in the engine bay....how should i go about checking the fuses.....i just noticed also that my dim lights dont go on and niether do the tail lights...my power window,sunroof,alarm,and pop up lights,JVC deck,turn signals all do.......

my gauges stopped working b/c apparently the wire got cut behind my cd player, so pull out your deck and make sure all wires are in working order. it sucked goign for 3 months without dash lights for such a stupid reason...
