CA NEED HELP! Cluster problems

ok so everyone knows the harness that runs under the driver side fender???

many people know that when going with big wheels that it is a must to get in there and tie that harness up high in the fender to prevent your tire from cutting into it.

well thats just what happen to me, i ran out of time while adjusting my ride height tried to make it home and cut into my harness. luckily it was only a couple wires that got exposed and none of which got torn completly.

when it happen there was smoke coming in the cab from my cluster so i just stoped right there, good thing i was less then a block from my house.

i got in there repaired all the exposed wires tucked it high, went to start the car hoping that the cluster wasnt fried and everything looks good until you turn the car over. the rpm's go up like normal and then just fall dead a second after you turn the key and the mileage just goes blank.

i went back in double checked my work to make sure i didnt miss a wire and everything checked, tried and again but the same thing happened.

am i in from a new cluster or is something repairable here that im missing?

has anybody gone threw the same problem?

THANKS!!!
