Im about to buy this 94 rx7 wih the following mods, apex n-1, downpipe, intake and apex avc-r. The thing that worries me is that he said its boosting 7lbs and it has no intake leak or anything but with the avc-r they can lower the boost to 7lbs. I own a second gen and am under the impression that you can't lower boost only raise it as i have a boost controller as well in my turbo II. SO i talked to him today and he told me that they took out the stock boost controller that opens and closes the wastegate and replaced it with the avc-r so they can actually lower the boost. IVe never heard of this beforew but if it's really true someone let me knoe please.

 

yes you can lower the boost although im not sure if you can with a avc-r. If you run a straight vaccum line to the wastegate, you'll only get about 7-8psi boost at max.
