I reccomend the racing beat, its the quietest non-stock exhaust, and its not the canister type. it also has a conservitive look, with its dual 3" tips, looks similar to stock.

Great info Matt. Does anyone know anything about this RP racing exhaust sold at rotory performance website build by Greddy. I comes with a mid pipe resonator for $850. How is it compare to the greddy Ti? Also, is the Greddy Ti street leagal? Can you pass inspection with the noise it makes?

^My feeling exactly on the sound at idle and on acceleration. The overall quality is good too. Except for the look and tendancy to drone at cruising speed, I could recommend it. Overall though, I'd go with an RB dual tip.

My perosnal opinion would be to go for a resonated mp and the RSR exmag exhaust. not the GTII the exmag. Ive always wanted that setup, but got a resonated mp and the trust SP instead because guys were selling their stuff on the forum and I needed to replace my clogged oem exhaust quick.

I have the HKS Dragger II and i love it. Nice shaped can, and it sounds really nice on deceleration.

I don't know anything about the RP exhaust but the pipes look painted like is sometimes used with cheaper materials. I'd expect it to flow well and not be too loud (like HKS Ti). Be careful about running a midpipe with stock turbos or stock ECU! I'd think that the Greddy Ti + SS midpipe would be cheaper, lighter and last longer while the RP GReddy might flow a little better.

The Greddy Ti is street legal. There are no requirements or standards for a cat back only. Eliminating the main cat will be illegal or cause a failed inspection in most areas. Some places have sound ordances but they are usually hard to enforce because sound volume varies by distance and requires expensive devices to measure. This doesn't stop the cops and injustice system from harrassment.

I am twin sequencial with SS downpipe + Ntech cat + Greddy Ti and people here me coming but some don't even look. Most pickup trucks around here are louder. I do have to turn up my radio a little at highway speeds.
The same setup with RB dual was almost as quiet as some new cars. I could still here the engine though (good) and WOT gets loud.
I put the RB dual on my other 7 (sequencial + SS downpipe + stock cat) and it is very quiet. I stalled my motor a few times because I couldn't here my motor reving until I got used to it. Even WOT isn't loud.
Well I am running a Gr67 single turbo, greddy fmic, fuel system, etc. with the stocl cat, and Apexi N1 that came with the car. It is deafening. I dont have a working radio yet so maybe I tend to notice it a little more. Anyway, the FD was built with performance in mind, and would like to drive it on the weekends, and down the 1/4 as well so I will be eliminating the cat back and changing to a different exhaust. Now that my goals/ mods are apparent, can anyone suggest an exhaust for me???! thanks

I'm not there yet, but I've earmarked the Racing Beat dual tip when I upgrade.

I love my Racing Beat dual-tip! Quiet at cruising and a nice growl at WOT.

No offense the those of you that have them, but I think any tip wider than 3" looks ricey. There is absolutely no need for those huge tips for the street. I had the Apexi NI dual, which I thought was pretty cool. It had two tips that were just big enough. It was loud though. If the RB cat-back has good flow, I would go with that. I think understated is better than flashy. To each his own.

Yea, single turbo can be very loud. I bet if you ran an 80mm HF cat or resonated midpipe with RB dual you would be quieter than you are now and flow considerably more. The stock cat probabely quiets more than your Apexi N1 but is barely over 2" inside and is welded from the inside. With the Greddy Ti you may still wake up the neibors but they won't complain about that low pitch rumble like the high pitch wine of the Apexi N1.
