Need advice with this setup

I'm kind of curious as to what kind of power this setup I'm building will produce.... I'm going to build a custom intake w/ 2.5" free flowing pipes and build a box around it with a duct for fresh air from the front bumper. The car already has a 3" downpipe. Plan to add the catless midpipe and a good cat back exhaust (probably Racing Beat). What kind of power will this setup make? What will I need to do computer wise? Would the Apexi A/F controller be adequate? If not, direct me to a good cost effective ecu upgrade.

Thanks for the help
Chuck

A used Pettit, M2, G-force, etc. computer can run from 300-500 dollars. You can use an AFC but it will not be as good, and you must run stock boost and no more. That setup with a good engine could make from 265-280hp I would think.

I'm curious as to what the reason is behind the afc not being as good as a reprogramed ecu?

Thanks

repgrammed ecu alters the timgin as well, nto sure what else. with full exhasut i woudl get an intercooler as i am sure u will want to run past the 10 psi and the stock intercooler is not efficient at those levels. with that and the proper fuel u will be good for over 300 whp.

What if I got an A/F controller and timing controller? Would you consider that adequate enough to do the job? The only problem I can see is the resolution on those devices being a little slow.... but they're not that bad either.

Thanks
Chuck
