need advice: efini y-pipe question

ive got an all stock 94 and im wondering if replacing the stock y-pipe with an efini y-pipe will raise boost levels too much for the stock ecu.
i drive the car everyday and dont want to have to worry about over boosting or spiking.

any advice?

Replacing the Y-Pipe on it's own with stock intake/exhaust? Probably not. But it's always possible to spike on colder days/evenings even in stock form. You'll just have to make sure to monitor things and that's really true with all modifications.

People have had spikes in the stock configuration. If you want to protect yourself from spikes, get an aftermarket Electronic Boost Controller. They respond quicker than the stock solenoid system which is what you need in a "Boost Spike" situation.

i've been under the impression that the efini pipe is more of a reliability upgrade because of the hose coupling. i've read claims that it redirects the air a little better... but come on. i just can't see it being worth $200 versus a $20 silicone coupler.
