Question Need Advice!

Im getting a new engine from Malloy's soon and was wondering what were the parts I should buy or order to bring to my shop? Things like engine mounts, radiator hoses, silicone hoses, etc.?

Oh and also what is the threater size for a oil line so I can install some steal braided lines?

Here's my advice:

1. Replace all coolant lines (OEM)
2. Replace turbo oil lines (OEM)
3. Replace fuel lines (whatever is at your local auto store)
4. Hose Technique kit for vacuum lines

The OEM stuff, you can order from Ray at Malloy Mazda: 1-888-533-3400.

As far as the radiator hoses, you can get expensive aftermarket ones but the OEM will do just fine. It's up to you and your budget. There are aftermarket radiator hoses from Thermal Flex and Samco. The main advantage of the Thermal Flex is just the colors. The people that I know who bought them said that other than the colors, they are pretty much like OEM.

Is the silicone set any good that the RX7 Store sells? Cuz its a bargain compared to the Hose Technique site.

I'm alos unclear of the threater sizes for the oil return line and anything in general that should be steal braided lines.

I got oil metering lines while I was there, gasket set (which is lower intake , upper intake oil meteing pump oring gasket between eng and turbo manifold and a couple more,,,)if you use stock injectors replace orings for fuel injectors. Ray has all should have these and has motor mounts.
Best advice ...make a list.
I just got a motor a few months ago and drove there to return core and met Ray. Good guy but he is BUSY.

Go to mazdatrix.com and print off the entire price list. Highlight what you want in one color, and what you need in another, and what you'd like to find as an aftermarket replacement in yet another. This will really help you establish a budget (which can get outta' hand fast if you're not carefull )
Also, if you think the prices at hose technique are bad, try pricing viton tubing
I spent nearly 3 bills IIRC for the viton.

Good luck,
Frank
