Mysterious Knock Please Chime In.
I have consistent Knock On Throttle. The PFC Heat Light starts blinking. I've narrowed it down to the following :
1. Consistently starts knocking at 2500RPM upto 3500RPM's.
2. Knock according to the datalogit is low 30's to high 70's.
3. I've reduced warning thresh to 20 and gone around with a mallet tapping various parts including drivetrain but the problem still persists.
4. I;ve replaced or rechecked everything from injectors, coils, ignitor but everything seems to be within spec.
A couple of questions:
What are dangerous knock levels?
Could a faulty oil pump cause knock?
My relevant Mods
PFC, GT35/40,OBX FPR, Hi-Flow Fuel Pump,Straight 3 inch exhaust Piping with apexi cat back.
I appreciate any input on this.
Regards,
Dave

No it's not Turbo'd
From what I remember the answer was to my knock question :
30 is no more dangerous than 70, as long as it's constant, what you want to look out for is sudden increases in a nominal level.... (Spikes)
