my white smoke culprit

i was in a delimma friday morning because of whtie smoke bellowing from my car when i arrived at work. MY CULPRIT...ended up being a connector that slighty melted, has this happened to anybody else? ive never had that happen with a car before.

Yikes!! What connector? I'm guessing it shorted on something? Or arced?

it didnt short, thank you rx7godmanlord whatever. the smoke was coming from here:



it moved back to wherever its supposed to be. what a freak accident.

Well, that spot is where your turbos are located. That could be the source ... weird that it went away after replacing a connector. Exactly what connector did you find melted? Sounds like a turbo issue ... but turbo issues don't go away. They usually get worse.

turbos...that is what i assumed it was at first, but the only abnormal looking thing from my friday morning episode was that connnector. i have not seen nor smelled anything since. its still in there like it is, i just moved it out of the way. i have yet to figure out what that connection is seeing as i spent the day at defensive driving school. DOH

What was that for? I'll take a look at it for you Saturday if you like. I had white smoke from there (or close) one time, and it turned out that a cooling line to the turbo went... And would open when REALLY hot... Then of course the smoke...
