Thumbs up My water injection idea-homemade

wat about if u simply relocated the rear hatch windshield washer fluid sprayer and had the correct sprayer hooked to in the engine doing the exact job as the one u can buy. u wudnt even have to change the wireing and u could have that button still functional in the fd

Why don't you just pour the water in? I think a better use for the rear window sprayer would be to dispense your favorite beverage. If you relocate it, than why not the glove box?

Water injection needs to be precise in order to be effective. Your idea is the epitome of imprecise. Please do a LOT more research before trying to implement water injection.

The motor would not be powerful enough. You need a special nozzle to have the water sprayed in mist form and also the motor has to be triggered by either boost or the map sensor. If you wanna use the manual switch for the wiper fluid good luck. You need two hands to drive and I don't see how you have the time to engage the pump when you are driving the car at higher speeds around the bends

um

I think what he means is just using the tank for where the water would be stored, along with putting in the correct motor for the setup. I don't think he intended in using the same motor or sprayer. That wouldn't make any sense. I think that location is pretty good, except I would use the stock pump from the tank(to push the water down the lines to the engine bay), then have the real pump(for the injection) closest to the engine so you get good pumping.

I wouldn't use a manual switch either though. I think hes thinking water injection is like nos or something.

Just my $.50

That is the setup I am using now. I am using the rear reservoir to store water for my aquamist setup. I assumed he said using this as a means to save money but the only money you save is for the reservoir which does not come with most kits anyway. You still need to buy a motor and stronger hoses and some sort of controller.
