This is one of the reasons why those "free" fund raising car washes aren't really free. Not to mention they typically use sponges and not wash mitts and it is not uncommon to see the sponges dropped on the ground (or thrown at other car washers) and thus pick up grit.
Rewax your car when you get a chance. People purposely use Tide to wash their cars when they want to strip off any old or current wax.
Now that that's out of the way - your FD looks great. I'm loving the gold wheels on the white car...

hey thanks for the tips.
my next waxing on the 7 is due in Oct anyway so I imagine the Tide isnt too bad. It still beaded up when I rinsed and the car dried immaculately with just a towel down. I have to be extra cautious on making sure there a good wax build on the rear to keep the exhaust from staining the white. Maybe its the mexican in me but I was taught laundry detergent was the mildest alt to car soap.
John I just moved from Scripps Ranch up to RP with another FD coworker. Now double trouble in the garage.
Too close to the curb? Perhaps it appears as such in the pics. Im a girl c'mon, of course I take care of my accessories!
My lights are from AutoZone I think, just a cheap temp fix until I get a 99 front end. Note my temp fix is going on 3 years now, just had other priorites on the ride.

Looks good Meiogirl!
BTW, I'm using Tide on some waxing/detailing cloths in the washer right now to REMOVE the wax from them. Get the hint?
Now we're going to hound you on this until you get a coat of wax on there. Wax on, wax off, Meio-san!

yes, PLEASE don't use Tide on your ride again...
I was actually cringing when you mentioned it earlier... A nice coat of carnauba will get it back to normal.
but still, a nice ride either way...
