My speedometer just quit

So I just bought a 72000km 2002 spec cluster. I got it install and it worked great for like a week. Now I started up the car for a drive and the speedometer needle doesnt move. Everything else on the cluser works fine even the odomerter works and everything lights up. Now I took apart the dash cover again and check all of the connection wires and they are fine. So what could be the problem? I really hope its not the cluster I just dropped all the money on. If anyone has any ideas I'd really appreciate it. I just don't know where to start. I'm beginning to want to pull my hair out because of this car. Thank You all.

Try checking the speed sensor on your trans before you go looking for a new spedo. The gear is plastic, and its possible it doesn't have any teeth left. Just a thought I could be wrong, but check the source of the signal then work back towards the cluster.

Alright, I'm finally going to test out my speedo sensor under the car tonight. I just had a question in case anyone has done this before. I read that I need to use an ohm meter to test the cable if I don't see anything immediatly wrong. So im supposed to turn the wheel to get an actual ohm pulse . Which wheel do I need to turn? The front or the back? I feel dumb asking, but I just wanted to make sure. Thank you as always.
