My Spedometer gauge is going out, help!

Is there a way to clean the connections or something for the spedometer gauge? because recently on mine, it will not work at all showing 0 mph when im goin like 60 or 70 mph. then it will fix itself intermittenly.Eventually I know it will get worse and stop working altogether, so does anyone know how to fix this without having to replace or buy anything possibly?

there are some people who have cleaned the contacts and even resoldered the connections.

Do a search, there has been a few people who did this, and one even did a detailed write-up on removal and installation

my speedomter ive noticed when I start the car for very first time of the day, the speedometer will not work, however if I turn the car off, and turn it back on it works?? does this sound like a speedometer cable going bad, or an internal electrical issue with the speedomter itself?

I too once had the same problem. I would like to suggest changing to individual gauges like I did.
