I'm not sure I noticed any difference at all when I installed mine. "testing" at 100+ mph revealed no major difference in handling. I didn't seem get that "floating" feeling on the road at speed but can't be sure it wasn't just my mind wanting to believe my diffuser was helping.

I have read posts of others saying that it helped them but I personally can't confirm whether it did anything.

That's exactly what I was wondering about, but I'm wingless... I'd assume the R1 or 99 spec wing will eliminate that feeling, but I don't want to add a wing.

Typically aero won't have any noticeable effect (to the driver) until you are well over 100mph.
It was only about 130-140 where my car would start to feel "floaty" and the steering would get light. I hope to hit the track a few times this summer so I will let you know. Of course with the '99 wing my car has been pretty planted already so no guarantees I can give you much.

I did not buy it specifically for the aero benefits. More for the aesthetics Sorry to disappoint.

where this particular body diffuser excells is picking up rocks so you'll see some added weight to help with some rear traction

On a serious note it's more of a hormonal modification to the driver and adds to what is already in my eyes the finest *** on the planet.

Speaking of rocks...

Check out what Adam did adding a fender liner to the passenger side rear tire to help decrease/eliminate the rock collecting. I haven't done it yet but will eventually. The rocks eventually find their way out.

Pics somewhere in his thread...

No...see you have it all wrong.

As the mass over the rear of the car from fuel consumption drops over the course of a track session the pickup of rocks and track rubber helps offset this loss which equates to more stable rear handling over the full course of your time on track!

The tire liner thing is genius but I'm not so sure a cut up piece of front fender liner is going to fly on Crispy's little lady that's one high maint. bitch right there

I can just see her now, you're back there with that cut up piece of plastic and she tilts the front and looks back at ya "I could spit oil on you again you know"

I measured...it's pretty much spot on 10" wide where the muffler section is.

They were one-offs made by Shine. Another customer had them made and then decided he didn't want them. Ken offered them up to me so I bought them. Right time and the right place...lucky me I guess.

Lets hope they fit!

Question, on your rear quarter panels. Did your diffuser bow out really bad? My passenger side isn't that bad but my drivers side bows out really really bad.

What did you do? 3m tape?

Nope.

And Yes. But I want to find some stronger doubled sided tape. I'm not happy with how well the generic double sided stuff is holding.

The OEM doubled sided stuff for the mudguards was awesome...anyone know where to get some of that in bulk?

Crispy

Hmm, well I used the 3m stuff on both sides. It brought both sides in except the nasty part. I took your advice and used black silicone to fill the gap. Hmm
