Who gives a **** how many miles are on it? Regardless of the amount of miles, it's still 10 to 12 years old, and *a lot* can happen in that time. Putting miles on a car doesn't wear out the paint.

I can vouch for this car having the mileage Jxy nyc is claiming. I know Jay, and I've helped him with his car, and YES the mileage IS accurate, it's exactly what he's saying, I've seen the car in person, he's got nothing to gain by lieing to forum members.

Info for anyone that is following my project. Well today I found out what exactly is up with my front end. The first body shop who I had delt with last year basically hacked up my FD. The same body shop also gave me the run around for just about a year about missing parts, slow responces from mazda and all types of crap. So today the news comes in.After talking to Abe from Mid Valley Collision out in Long Island over the phone he basically told me what was wrong. So I took the trip out to Long Island and met up with my boy 'RX794' and went into the shop together since he's is the one who told me about this bodyshop. Abe told us the chassis is off by 1inch by where the front subframe rear bolt attaches to the chassis. So with that said now the work begins. Abe will be pulling and repairing the 'F*ck-ups' the first bodyshop did to my poor hacked up chasis. Adding on 1.4k to the cost for my FD project.

For anyone uneducated as I was in the bodyshop world of cars. Talk to as many people as you can about getting any type of body work done. I've been hammered with the slow down of the process of my project and also mislead into believeing the job was done right the first time. I dont mind paying money at all on my FD is just hurts to know that people will mislead you and just take your money even if someone they know referred you to them. Well its all a learning process for me since this is my first real deal project car. If I knew then what I know now it would have been a totally different story.

Basic signs would of told me not to even step fot inside the previous bodyshop I delt with.
Signs: Cramped space for work, dirty unswept unorganized shop, painting cars in a dusty environment and sloppy looking people working in the shop.

The shop I went to today reminded me of Orange County Choppers shop. Just for the simple fact that everything was in order, clean and onpoint. So this week my car will have all the correct adjustments made so hopefully everything will align perfect and cleaner.

Thanx Josi "RX794" for helping me out I really appreciate it..

P.S A few pictures will be added from todays trip to the bodyshop.

Updating my thread since my car is out of the 2nd bodyshop. I was able to find my 'before' pictures from 2001 when I first bought my FD. So anyone that has been following my project can see how shes coming along. I also purchaed a domain for my FD project which is www.NycRx7s.com .. Post any feedback, negative or positive which ever makes you happy....

The fender/hood/bumper/headlight gaps look good. That is VERY hard to do compared to most types of cars, so many pieces come together in the same area.

Keep us updated!

Just proud to see someone putting so much effort into the restoration of an RX-7. Take it easy and keep up the good work, we're all here to help remember that. The comments earlier about the mileage seemed to me like they were meant to let you know that you might've been lied to when you bought the car. But if you've got your bases covered then no one's saying you're talking BS or anything.

I'm located in NYC also, if you need a extra hand or anything let me know and I'll see what I can do. Car looks so far just keep the progress going!
