My Right Window Wont Go Up!!!!

Like the title states, my window wont go up!! you see i can hear a click click sound when i i press the window button down from the driver side, but when i press up or down on the passenger sound i get no sound nor does it go up? it doesnt go up from the driver side either? this is the right hand side window. What could be wrong here? is there fuses to these two windows to roll up or down? or is it that my motor to roll the window on the right hand side is fucked? help guys i need to get my window up!!!!!

Hehe mine will go down for the passenger but won't go up... goes up in the driver side so I know its the switch on passenger side. Funky FD problems give them personality I say!

Angry Window

Try replacing the switch first it's cheap and easy.

my drivers side window gets jammed by the weather stropping. you can try to realign the rubber stipping, that might help.

it cant be the switch, because it doesnt even go up from the driver side, you know the driver side can get both windows up, the right lever is for the right window so it wont go up but now with the lever on the passenger side i cant go up either!!! i dont even get a clicking sound when i press down, so you think its the switch?

when I had my passenger side switch out of the car even the drivers side controls wouldn't operate the window. I think they have it wired so if the passenger side one goes bad, your lose all control of that window.

If you live near anyone with an fd try swapping in there switch. I have heard the dam thing is over 100 bucks from mazda.

alright i have removed my driver switch and **** and i will be hooking up to a volt meter to see if indeed it is the switch that went fucked up, now i have also been told that if its not the switch it could be a solenoid, now is that solenoid beside the motor? the window motor, the motor is fine because i grounded the wire that went straight to the motor and the window rolled up just fine, so thats not the problem. Is their a solenoid or no?

RZRX7TT, I found out mine and what it was on accident. It is the connection from your driver door to the body. There is a connector there and if it gets water in it(like mine) it will get oxidation. Try jiggaling it and/or taking it off and cleaning it. I went through the exact same thing you have done. It is a real headache. My passenger window will not roll down and sometimes up. The connector is white and you might have to pull back the rubber incasing protection(the black acordian thing from door to body that all the electricals pass through).

Let me know if I was right or wrong.

well the other thing is dude that even on the passenger side i cant roll up or down? so are you telling me that i am suppose to remove the driver side door switch? and the plastic panel??? not the passenger side? I am not quite clear on the black accordian thing that all electrical wiring goes through, but i do know this much that on the passenger side i have a black thing with a white connector that connects to my passenger side switch, is that what your talking about?????

Dude...

Did you post about this awhile back? I read this in a search and damn it that was my problem. I even brought my car to an rx7 mechanic and paid to have my car checked out. He diagnosed the pass window as the drivers switch AND my passenger lock not working as my lock mechanism. I read your post and for kicks and giggles I open my door, and pressed on the wires where the harness meets the body of the car and when I press down on the wires and press the switch at same time the window will go down or up. Same with the lock!

I still need a harness, its 250 from mazda

David

Ok, go and sit down in the driver seat and shut the door. Open the driver door all the way. Now look in the crevice of the door and body. You will see a black accordian thing from door to body protecting all the wires that go from door to body. This is your problem. Take off that accordian thing or jiggle it. The problem is that connector from outside of door jamb to inside is a connector that might have oxidation in it. you need to clean it or do something. Mine is broken and my mechanic soad there is no part Mazda sells to fix it. Either I do something with it or get one off a totaled car to fix it. If anything else shoot me a line at 210-273-0767. Jonas

P.S. I'am drunk as **** right noe so exuse the spelling.
