good to hear that you didnt get hurt.

The van was exceedingly close when the white car decided to come into my lane to pass it. The white car was traveling at a much faster speed than the van but did not pass the van until after the van hit me. I guess all occupants of the van were fixated on my car as the van tried to pass through my car with me in it " Just a guess". I could not watch the white car because my face was making love with the steering wheel as I watched the van in " slow motion" try to drive though the side of my car. I was blacked out for a bit afterwards because when I came to, the van driver was trying to open my door. The first thing he said was that I thought you were dead. The first thing I said was "Did you get the licence number." I guess the blood streaming down my face shook him up a little. I had to pinch my eyebrow to stop the bleeding while I pulled the glass out of my ear and neck. I used my rear view mirror which I pulled off the windshield to see with. The fire department took 15 minutes and the police came 1-1/2 hours later. As to why the van driver or his occupants did not see the car is all hearsay. I really don't know. I am pissed because if this was my fault, I would not even be typing this sht but I am hopping that one day the Mother FCKER that caused this will read it and maybe just maybe feel a bit of guilt for making my life just a bit miserable for the time being. As for my decision for pulling out of the way of the white car, I don't know which would have been worse " A head on incident or hoping for the van to miss me." The only thing that stile scares me is that if I had a passenger in the car I would have done the same thing and I would have had to live with my decision and their death for the rest of my life.

Gotta say bro - good instincts turning passenger side first into the oncoming car and accepting the impact. A lot of people would have just frozen.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck, but glad to hear your ok.

Likewise, I know the feeling of the slow motion impact, it feels like you can do something to change what is about to be, but all you can do is sit there & wait.

I feel for you, but....

It's almost a relief to hear about an FD getting totaled that was not caused by overuse of the right foot.
