Just a quick question ... I'm in the process of building a duck for my Greddy SMIC. I'm just modifying the stock one. Should I leave the opening to the a/c condenser and battery or block it off?

It is fine to leave it. Those parts like some air flow.

So this is what I've been screwing around with for the past couple of days. Not too bad considering I don't really have the proper tools to build something like this. Just in case anyone was wondering, it's made out of a piece of stainless steel from a old dish washer. I used some tin snips, pliers, a vice and a hammer to build it. It would have be nice to have a plasma cutter and a proper metal bender.

im headed home this weekend, and i think i might have a go at polishing the UIM...but i would love to see your method w/ pics if possible.

Wow man! I wish I can make my engine bay look this good! Sucks for me that I don't know how to do metal polishing and that I have no room or time to tear the FD appart to do all this!

I've been busy the past couple of weeks. I went on vacation, visited with family and friends, did a little fishing and played a few rounds of golf. Now I'm back and ready to get this thing back on the road. So .... I got the IC installed. The duct actually fit pretty good. I had to figure out how to mount my aftermarket AST. After playing around with it for a bit I finally came up with a pretty simple mount. Tell me what you think. I also installed the strut bar and engine brace. All I have left is to mount the twin power, run a couple ground wires, try to polish the front cooling plate and then I should be able to see if it'll start. Then it's on to the interior ....

Can someone help me pick my jaw up from the floor it fell somewhere around the first page.

Well I got a little side tracked. I was changing one of the dust boots on the front brakes (cause I ripped it when I painted them last year) and wouldn't you know it, while I was putting the tire back on I nicked the nice paint job that held up so well for the past year. I masked it up a did a little touch up. In between coats I took some pictures of my next project (the interior). I've done a few things already since I bought it. I just have a couple things left to do and it will be done as well. Then on to the exterior ...

i think all of us wonder how you made the polishing and a few pictures of your tooling and a few lines "how to" would be very interesting and helpfull.
