The reason for my particular design (I know there are so many other ways to get stereo equipment into this car and I probably could have made a cooler design if I utilized more of the space but my clubs gotta fit.):

I hope you never have a tire blow out. (no spare)

that's amazing, I recommend a cover for those subs as they're candy for thieves.

I took a look at page 1 and then page 8. That is some serious dedication and it shows. This car looks better than 99.99% of the RHD cars I've viewed in Canada (mine included).
Anyone pressure you to enter Driven Auto show for June 12? You should show off this piece of art. |
If I ever get a flat I have the spare set aside in my garage so that my wife can bring it down to me if need be. That "Fix-A-Flat" stuff is great but damn do they ever hate it when you take it to the tire shop. I have a can of it in my garage somewhere. I'll throw it in the cubby beside the jack just in case.
The subs are pretty hidden behind the seats and the rear window is limo tinted. I may also tint the side windows. Just have to save up some cash to pay for the fines :). I'm really not a fan of speaker grills. The only thing I put back there are my clubs and they fit nicely in between the two subs. So my plans now are just little things. She's running great and it's summer (golf season). Besides it's nice to space out the big projects. It feels like a new (different) car after completing it. Project list: Interior: -Redo seatbelt holders. -Remove turbo timer. -Side window tint. Maybe. -Possibly move my gauges to a FlyRX7 pod. If I can find one. -Cluster gauge mod. I bought a spare cluster gauge to change it to white. Better to fuck up a spare. I was also thinking of changing all the instrument lights to red. Not liking the amber too much. Seems out dated to me. I was also thinking about getting the new PFC cammander. Why did they have to make it yellow? That's one more color in the mix. Has any got one of these yet? Is it worth the $300? Exterior: -Fix exhaust tip. -Install Apexi ATS Silencer. -Repaint door handles. -Touch up the rims. -Test fit all new body parts. -Prep all new body parts for paint. -I probably won't get it painted until next year. Engine: -Build air intake duct. Something like Damian's. -Extend IC duct. -Clean and install Fluidyne rad. -Install manual boost controllers. -Install AIT sensor. -Change all the gaskets I bought. The main one is the lower LIM. It's still the paper one. I'll have to take out the turbos to get at it so I have all the gaskets for that as well. I was thinking I should port the waste gate while its out. Any disadvantages in doing this? Can I do this on my own? -Redo the wiring harness. I bought an extra wiring harness. I was thinking of doing the simplified seq. vacuum hose setup. To clean up under the UIM and have less things to fail. Are there any other disadvantages to this besides the emisions stuff? Will it run the same? I think I'll remove all the unused wiring and then re-wrap the the harness. Should be a lot less bulky. -I plan on doing this in one shot. The engine bay should be pretty gutted so i am planning on painting it flat black. That way I can paint the body any color and it should be easier to do touch ups. Like I said I'll probably leave the engine and body until the end of the season. I'll update as I go along. I am looking for a couple of things. Not really anything I need but I anybody has them laying around. Wish list: -RHD aluminum dead pedal. -RHD FlyRX7 gauge pod. -Aluminum scuff plates. -Defi 52mm boost(psi.) and oil press. gauge (link series [green]) |
Mind blowing good job buddy I can see my reflection from here ; )
