Unhappy Is my profec B set up right?

Iam not totally sure if its hooked up correct. I had a rotary mechanic install it a while back. The first time I tried to use it, I couldnt change boost at all. I went in to install my DP becuase I didnt want to break the exhuast studs since I have never done one. Well it wasnt getting no boost after he got done(car still at the shop). He called and asked if I had boost problems before I brought it in and I said no which was the truth, steady 10-8-10 boost. So a coupe days go by and the problem is fixed(I forget what it was I think he knocked a hose lose or something) He said that he had to set my boost controller again because it spiked to 15lbs. It has never spiked on me and still hasnt. So I meet one of the mechanics that works with him a month later cruising. He said the shop owner might have installed it wrong but didnt say much more because I had to leave. Now I havent fiddled with it because its where I want it at 10-8-11 now with only SS DP, and Cat back on 94 FD with 108k miles. If anybody can help me on what to look for or a site that will help me out that would be great. I have searched but never saw anything on the set-up just people deciding if they should get a profec-b.

Thank you,
Jonas

I should be in San Antonio this coming weekend working the pit crew for Rotary Performance. I have a Profec B and would be happy to lend a hand. Stop by the track and hopefully we can meet up

you basically have 2 concerns with the Profec: power to the stepper motor and hoses. If the hoses are correct and there is no power to the stepper, then your boost will hold at 7 psi (same as if you turn the unit off). Since you are seeing proper boost, then you can rule put the stepper motor and concentrate on the hoses.

You can set the hoses up to limit the 1st turbo to 10psi, and the 2nd to whatever, or you can set it up to allow the 1st turbo to hit whatever and the 2nd to hit whatever. Anyway, check the back side of the wastegates. Both of the nipples (they face the drivers side) should be capped. Check and make sure there are no cracks in the rubber caps over the nipples. Also, in the stock config. , there are 2 hoses that attach to these nipples. These hoses should be capped as well. Other than that, check all your hoses that are asscoiated with the stepper motor for cracks or splits.
