^^Good thing is that the motor mounts, wiring and nearly all of the plastic parts are still in tact.

 

I got a little done today. I stripped the motor down to the bare shortblock and scrubbed the whole engine as clean as I could get it. I peeked throught the exhaust holes into the motor and everything looks practically brand new. It's got new housings with less than 1800 miles so it's just about broken in. I finished transfering all my parts on to the short block and I should have time to put in the motor into my red FD and hopefully get her fired up tomorrow(no pun intended).

Certainly cleaned-up well. Did you use a power washer to get the smoke resin off or wasn't it that big a deal?
