my new mods,and my mpg

My 93 base has 10,000 miles on it now,and has the following mods.greddy smic, downpipe, apexi intake,m2 stage 3 ecu, rb catback.I just did a roadtrip to fla on i95 and i got 26.4 mpg with the ac on. On my return trip i got 27.6(no ac). this was doing 70 with the cruise on. i let my mom drive it she did a 50 mph punch in 3rd up to a 100.She said is much faster than my (sold) stock 98 c5.I only got 23. 4 mpg in my last fd. I am pretty sure that using mobile one syn oil is giving me better gas mileage ,we are getting 2 more mpg in our elantra using it.

I call B.S.! RX-7's don't get that kind of mileage, 10k miles on a '93 is insane, synthetic oil in a rotary is BAD for it, and your not only lettin your mom drive your car but she is rippen up the road with it? Nice .

dude ,your wrong about everything you just said. And yes i use mobilone syn oil. the oil pressure is like 80 at 2700 rpm= 70mph. I just did the fuel check by filling the car until the auto cutoff at the pump.then driving from fla to sc and refilling the tank and dividing the mi by the gal of gas used. If you knew me you would know that i dont talk bullshit.

I was being sarcastic. It was a joke . It always seems like someone is calling B.S. so I thought I would be first . Every once in a while someone posts with that kind of gas mileage and someone posts back that it's not possible. I use synthetic motor oil also despite the controversy. Relax.

i got about 29 mpg on my 98 c5,so my fd isnt really that bad on gas when you are doing hwy miles, city driving is much lower.I think i am getting about 18mpg city.I cant seem to keep my foot out of it now since i got some mods.

I am by no means a wizard at math...but I think I am only getting 16.9 mpg...

I know I am getting 6 kilometres per litre, so if anyone feels like doing the conversion to mpg to verify, be my guest...

Sounds to me like most moderately modified FDs get pretty good mileage. Not the best but they are no worse than my buddies STI and EVO.
