Hi,

Perhaps he meant $7,400 in Korea? Dunno. It is; however, a ultra good deal. JZ

nope he means 7400 us dollars. 7400 korean won would = about 5 dollars. lol i was just in pyoung taek thinking to myself damn i miss my rx7. anyways i went there in june of last year and probably will go there this christmas. if i go there i will have to hook up with you. and 105c isnt to high but it is alot higher than most people. i would do the fan mod if i was you. or get a pfc and make the fans come on sooner.

I would recommend moving the license plate out of the air flow path.

NO you can't remove front license plate in korea.
ther super trained pepper spray equipped cop gona pull
you over right away.

I know because I that's my home contry.
also I heard about 200 FD are in Korea.but most of them are right hand drive car.
I don't drive on right hand seat while all the trafic rulls
made for left hand drive cars

$7,400 is about right for a nice S6 FD in Japan. FDs are ******* cheap in Japan. You can find a mint 1999 for about $15k-$18k.

m477 - this other guy i know got his 1993 FD for around five thousand with alot of mods already in the car, and yes this was in japan. probably the only thing thats cheap over there...

r0gu3 - i can't remove the license plate not only because of the highly trained pepper spray cops, but cause of the police on base will trouble ya.

Redrotor - 200 fds sound about right, and most of them paid a grip and they pay double or triple for any parts and repairs...

apexkw - yes, definately going to do the fan mod as soon as i get some time.

If, as you say, that a full tank is only half way up the gauge, maybe someone put some aftermarket gauge faces in and didn't get the needles aligned properly.
Since you can't move your liscense plate, how about hinging it at the top so it flops back a little at speed, or how about drilling holes in it in the background location of the plate, would the gestapo frown on that?
Nice ride for the price. Post some interior pics too.

What? R U Kidding? 105°C is pretty damn hot...You shouldn't be running that hot unless you are running laps at the track and even then you would be close to pulling over to let her cool down...I have a FMIC with stock rad and never see over 95°C in 90°F ambient temp.

Seems you already have an upgraded rad....Try and get a good, accurate temp gauge in there if the one that you have sux...Temp is the #1 killer of all FDs.

the water temp gauge has been fixed, now it points to 9' O clock.. the oil temp gauge however still peaks out at 95 degrees celcius = 203 F... i'll take some pictures of the dash and under the hood as soon as i get home. yup the fender and hood are indeed made by borders and i think the c-west head light kit i have is an imitation because of the flimsy-ness of the cheap plastic that covers the lights... i would imagine they would use much more durable plastic/glass...

$7,400 would only buy us a POS FD w/ a blown motor in the US! Too bad we can't get them imported here.

BTW, Nice car.

Well, don't fully remove the front license plate. Seeing as how you only have one oil cooler, could you move the license plate to the passenger side of your front air dam? I normally only see 180 degree F on stock radiator in 99 degree F weather in Texas. Hit a plastic bag on the freeway, which only covered 1/4 of the radiator and temperatures immediately jumped up to 210 degrees F. Relocation of the license plate would be highly beneficial to your running temperatures.

105 C = WAY, WAY, WAY " TOO HOT " for every day use. FIX it or your FD won't last long.

r0gu3 - nope i got two oil coolers. yes that license plate is a bitch, but this weekend i'm gonna be working on the fan mod so hopefully things will run alot cooler.

sullycrx - yup i sure did buy it... how did you know i was a LT? it must suck to be in kunsan... there is a fairly large dent in the back now, some fool hit it in my apartment, got that bastard on camera, so gotta track him down... thanks for the comments though... don't know about shipping it back to the states... yeah man come up here and take a closer look at it... its still got alot of life left, i hope...

i also have a spoiler that i have yet to install, gonna need some of yall's opinion, i'll take a picture of it tonight...

Was Chuck in seoul the guy who took his car to a shop, where the father of the shop owner took it for a joyride and wrecked it? If so, then yeah, I'd say get in touch with him, learn where that shop is, and stay the hell away!!

why do you want rear spoiler?

looks pretty good without

or are you going to be needing the downforce on those 90mph corners?
