I clearly don't care to either. I have more then enough pro audio equipment at home such that I really don't need to be dropping more money into it in my FD. The stereo I have in it is reasonable, but honestly my DD Civic has a better one.

That's all. I congratulate you on your fine choice.
Actually, just because it is a spartan sports car does mean it should be treated as such.
Your rationale for wanting the Mazda wheel? Is the sparco to "rough" on you or something?

Hey guys thatnks for all the nice comments (mostly). The sparco wheel HAD to be removed to get the car registered, but to be honest I can't see myself putting it back on in a rush. I really like the look of the mazda wheel, plus it hasnt been used at all yet, so it is like a perfect new leather wheel.

The reason for replacing the stereo is because the stereo in there is just awful. As in it skips all over the place, and is shiney silver in a car that is completely black. I wouldn't replace it as a priority otherwise.

I am getting 300km for 67 dollars of petrol at 1.25$ per litre. I have no idea what that means, except that my wrx would get 550km for 50 dollars of petrol. It doesn't worry me, I didn't buy the car for economy, but I was a little shocked.

Below are some more photos that were already taken, but I haven't had a chance to take any really good ones, coz it is still raining (yes in perth). Some of the photos were taken with the standard wheels and suspension, so it might look a little high riding. Since then the zeal coilovers have been replaced.

I have no plans to modify the engine for a few months, I am waiting to get it re-registered in march, and then I will get started. To be honest I will need a few months to get used to the increased power and RWD from my wrx. In the mean time I will replace the gear **** with a carbon unit (it has a leather one at the moment, the carbon mazda one was removed) , get the CD fitted, get the hatch fixed (it has a whole lotta holes from the spoilers), and maybe have the rims powdered black.

That is one gorgeous RX7.

Is the rear wing stock from factory or aftermarket?

Thanks.

That is an interesting AST you have there. Any ideas of the manufacture?

Very nice car by the way!

Seeing as you're in Perth, you might be interested in www.perthrotary.com, a local website run by a fellow rotorhead. Come and join up

I don't know what the AST is, to be honest I thought that was the mazda item. The wing is a OEM in one photo and a huge carbon fibre wing which is aftermarket. In terms of price....well. I paid 40k australian, inlcuding all costs of transport and registering etc etc. I don't know if that seems like alot in the U.S, I believe that cars are expensive here compared to over there. For comparison the local version of your pontiac GTO sells for over 60 grand. Also the RX7 was over 90,000 AU when they were last brought here in '99. So value is relitive. I could have bought an early model base 350Z, a simliarly aged S2000, or a newer RX8 for the money. But obviously i prefer the 7.

Very nice car by the way!

It is an Apexi unit. We can get it here but it is less popular.

THE CUP HOLDER IS IN THE PHOTO WHEN THE CAR WAS STILL IN JAPAN!!!! I plead innocence.
No photos yet, I was away for the weekend, but I will certainly get to it. Plus the factory wing is back on the car (for now).

Ok Guys, having had the wing on and the wing off I have decided that off is my preference, so the wing is for sale. See the for sale section for more info.
