Welcome to the club! I hope that you continue to love your 7 like most all of us do. I will suggest that you read through all the 3rd gen faq's stickied in the top of this section (it will take a LONG while so leave some time) before asking any questions you may have. Odds are that ANY question you could EVER have is answered there, or somewhere else on the board and can be found by searching. I am sure you will have a great time on here talking about your 7 with all the other owners and we are glad to have a new member!
Trust me, it can become an obsession.
If you're into modding, she'll be taking all of your money in no time...And even if you're not, she'll be taking your money in gas.
The rotary engine will quickly become one of your greatest love/hate relationships. :P
Good luck with everything, and enjoy the car! Mine is silverstone metallic as well.

Nice baby, congratulations and welcome to the club!
You guys are lucky living up on the mainland and don't need to worry about stupid laws like here on Oahu, Hawaii.
We'll get a $140 ticket for no NOT mounting a front plate and dinged for other modifications (coil overs, rims 2 inch/over stock, tint etc) unless it is cleared by an expensive RECON process.

I've had a 98' Cobra Mustang, 87' Porsche 944 Turbo, 02' Boxster, and an 02' BMW M3. I now have a 93' RX7 and it is, by far, the best, most head-turning, sports car I have owned. Once you get one the others seem like stepping stones to your favorite...the RX7. Welcome to the sickness.
^^"welcome to the sickness".... now that is well put!!
That is great you found a silver on red! I have not run across many others on here, and I have never seen another one in person. You have a smooth looking car. My compliments.

But moconnor is right. I worry about the fit and how much unsprung weight they add to the car. That's always bad for performance.
When Mazda designed the car the engineers were very precise and worked hard to limit the weight of the wheel / tire combo. Big aftermarket rims with heavier tires can add a couple of pounds to each corner increasing the unsprung weight and the rotational inertia of each wheel. That hurts each aspect of performance, handling, braking, and acceleration. Unsprung weight hurts much more than a few extra pounds located elsewhere in the car.
Looks are great. But if it starts hurting performance, that's where I draw the line.
