Arrow My MazdaSpeed GT-Concept FD3S - UPDATED

Hey fellas..

Here's pics of my ride i took today 12/11/2006.
Id like to thank all the boys from the FD thread at Ausrotary and the FD Guru's, BLACK TALON, DAIONI, IBLI7Z, KOTTER31, CRAYSUS, JIM6, RICE RACING, FD MAN, ADJUST, PLYRUF and N1RAY for all the help with parts, knowledge and support with the build so far. Its only 40% done, a long way to go to finish.

Its a J-style race inspired build. The 2000 model Series 8 was originally imported from www.japandirect.com.au .

WELCOME TO MY GARAGE

THE ENGINE BAY - Still Stock...at the moment.

....Well, except for the D1 Aluminium AST and HKS IC pipes (thanks Marcus |SPII| ).

....Still managed to run 218.7 Rear Wheel Kilowatts @ C&V's dyno dynamics (around 270-280KW's at the Engine), with just a nicely tuned Apexi PFC and HKS EVC 5 with high/low adjustable boost 14psi. It sits on 10psi most of the time.

THE INTERIOR - sorry, its abit blurry; My Nardi Deep Corn s/wheel, HKB Boss kit w/Airbag relay eliminator, CF Mazdaspeed g/****, Addzest Double DIN, PFC, EVC and HKS turbo timer. Soon will be filled with a pair of Red Bride Brix's and CF Scuff plates (if I can find the right price for them)

THE EXTERIOR- So lucky the car was imported with the MAZDASPEED edition GT-Concept exterior wear, minus the GT-C Front lenses which they cracked when the car was on the boat and the so, so looking rear pods. I'll be filling up the rear soon with a Diffuser.NOTE: The rear wiper and nozzle were never part of the car when it came from Japan

THE WHEELS and SUSPENSION - "Currently" sitting on 17inch AVS [advan yokohama] Model T6 lightweight wheels, long race nuts and MAZDASPEED Adjustable coilovers with adjustable dampers (this came stock with the car also) .

THE INSPIRATIONS from my MAGAZINES - even though I cant read Japanese, pictures, rides and those dudes pointing figures at parts help me understand and take notice.

3 of my fave's - [left]RX7 magazine issue No.1 'The Mazdaspeed GT-Concept RX-7'. [middle]FD3S Magazine issue No.2 ' Mazdaspeed GT-Concept RX-7'. [right]RX7 magazine issue No.13 'The Mazdaspeed R-Spec RX-7'

I'm confused with the big exhaust can and running cats...with a standalone? kind of an over kill dont ya think?

Car looks great though...just need to work out the little things that matter.

Maybe its because it doesn't have the wiper, but that has got to be the cleanest and sleekest shot ever taken of a "stock" fd. Nice! Good luck with the project.

Where'd u get all those mags from? I want...
