My Life sucks.

Just found out today, that the reason my car was flooding out was due to a Waterseal failure. We first thought that one of the injectors were leaking. Checked the injectors, and found out that they were in-fact leaking. We replaced the injectors and the harness leading to them, and the car would run fine for the first couple of start-ups. Then all of a sudden, the car's coolant buzzer would sound. The car started to drink alot of coolant, and you could start smelling out of the exhaust.

Finally my mechanic let the car sit for about a day, and took out one of the sparkplugs. Cranked the car, and water shot out onto his hand. Weird thing is, I never overheated the car, just the buzzer would go off once on a blue moon. Then I would immediately shut off the car, and wait for it to cool, then add the water. The motor was also rebuilt a little over a year ago. MY life sucks, sorry had to vent somehow.

Who rebuilt the last motor and did it come with any kind of warranty? You can rebuild it and make it better now!

Maybe try teflon seals this time?

Don't feel bad, mine had bad O rings before I blew an apex seal.

ASI rebuilt the motor, and I have a warranty. Im thinking about just porting it a little more, and going non-sequential. The owner Chad, is really cool, my warranty expired and hes still honoring it. I reccomend anyone to them, just that it takes a little while for the work. The work might take a little while but its one of the best out there. I only have to buy the parts, as we are using the same apex seals and stuff. FL + FD's = bullshit

i wouldnt call coolant seal failure after 1 year bulletproof but that is outstanding that he is so honest to warranty his work when he feels it wasn't your fault.

it'll only take a few hours for a rebuild so it's not that big of a deal.........

how long have you had those irons? Might want to consider getting them lapped if the seals are good yet and aren't cracked.

teflon seals are usually only used on the oil control rings.

One engine my friend and I built we re-used outer water jacket seals and cut them down for both the inner and outer! LOL it was an engine built out of free parts and was an NA (used apex seals/springs etc). I wasn't sure if the ghetto water seals would work but they work like a charm

My point is something is not quite right........... maybe the seam wasn't by the intake? pics would be kewl.

That's awesome that he is warrantying the motor, seems like a stand-up guy. I wanted to ask you, are those dyno #s in your sig legit? Seems way low for the mods you have listed.

Yes, the numbers are legit. Fatman0202 can vouche for this as he was at the dyno day. Actually alot of members from SFL can vouche for it as it was an "rotary only" dyno session.

The "streetport" that I currently have is basically like a polish on the intake ports, due to the fact that I am running the stock ECU. Chad said it would act up if he ported it too big without an aftermarket ECU. I am still on stock boost, stock sequential, and only took the car to 7500rpms. Everyone there told me the car runs strong for the mods. They might have been lieing to me, to make me feel good.

Doesn't seem that out of the norm I think..Back in the day when I dynoed with these mods it was pretty close at 255rwhp.

Intake / DP / Exhaust / Efini Y-Pipe / PFC

Sorry about your motor man..Belive me, I know how it feels x2...It will be just that much better when you get it back.

Oh yea, also the A/F ratio went well under 10 after 3000rpms. The line went off of the chart as too how rich I was running. I am comtemplating about running an intake with my current setup.

Damn, that's really cool that he's still honoring the warranty. Hope you get her running again soon.
