He hit a deer... but... you should change your habits regardless. No matter how good a driver you are, there are always other idiots on the road. Save the speed for the track.

LOL

I got in an accident, it could have killed us... because of my stupid driving and the bigger idiot not checking his mirror when merging onto the freeway (lol) - but regardless.. I dont' drive like that anymore... nor do I speed on the streets (at least not dangerous speeding.. it's SoCal People.. 80 is the flow of traffic, lol)

I fell asleep on the highway and wrecked my first FC. I Don't if I'd rather I had crashed speeding, or being stupid enough to nod off on the road.

So I freaked out and took it to be aligned and anyalized for a bent chassis or signs of a wreck. All the places I took it to couldn't find any signs of damage and the car aligned almost perfect. That guy was just a jelous ******* trying to freak me out. I couldn't really drive it because of its blown suspention so I drove it twice before the motor blew in march 05. It's been in the shop ever since. it's jan 06 and I driven it 2 times. When the registration came I got confused. . .I had forgot I owned the car. It can always be worse man.

Familiar story, more or less. I've driven mine maybe all of 10 times before I popped the motor. That was way back in May, and I'm just now getting a new motor. On top of that, friggin Cali, and its damn smog kept me from being able to register it before the motor went. So, now I'm a little worried as to what the process is going to be like now (I have until May before I need to non-op it). Ima just keep my fingers crossed. =)

Do you have any idea how much your looks will improve once you get behind the wheel of a RED FD??!!!!

I know mine did!!

Best of luck with the new project - don't take some of the *** hat comments too seriously - please post pics when you get her up and running.

Yeah, im glad you joined the VR darkside. muahhaah

But aside from that, its a great story, however with all storys, theres always some sadness, im sorry it had to be an accident. BUt the good side is that you're ok and you got yourself another FD. You have heart because even though you say you're broke, you continue to strive to own one of these cars.

Its a real weird coincidence that you crashed the car exactly 1 year from purchase, same date and everything.

I wish you lots of luck man, you represent true rx7 heart.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I just wish I could figure this cooling problem out so I could get some real break-in miles on it.

so why did you not add your FC to the story? Is that not a worthwhile addition to your RX-7 life story??
