my instrument cluster quit lighting up

on the way home tonight, I heard a pop and looked down, none of my gauges light up anymore. is there a fuse for them? I cant find it....

oh, i have a seperate boost gauge wired into the dimmer, it quit lighting as well..

Sounds like you blew a fuse. Check out fuse I in the fuse box in the driver's foot well. It's next to the clutch pedal.

You'll need to figure out why the fuse popped too. There could be a short where the boost gauge wiring taps in or there is something else drawing too much amperage.

Do your tails work? I blew my dimmer switch and the I Fuse and my cluster went out and my tails wouldn't work. Had to replace the dimmer switch and fuse, easy fix.

how much was the dimmer switch?? I dont have web acess so its hard to tech this problem.,, my I fuse was fine. im not sure how to check the dimmer...

also, my tails seem to be working? VERy dim. but on..

i had this same problem in my fc when i wired the cs gauge overlays in.... i wired them right to the light switch/ dimmer and eventually it fried i guess becaus there was too much runnin through it. i had to replace the switch and then find a diff. place to wire the power for the guages.. now it all works fine. my tail also stopped working. it sounds like the same gremlin.....
