My idle is 600rpm's... Why?
Hey guys, whats up? I thought these cars are supposed to idle at 800-900 rpms. Mine doesnt do that. I get a consistent 500-600 when the car is at operating temps. I dont think it should be here right? When the fans kick on, my idle drops to like 200 rpms and feels like its gonna stall but it never does. It catches on. When i turn my lights on, my idle is at 700 rpms and feels much better. Any ideas?? TPS?? Plugs and wires have about 3000 miles on them. Fuel filter was already replaced also. Let me know

Actually, its been idling like this since i bought the car. But i read alot of posts and i always see people's idles at like 800rpm's so thats why i asked. Btw, i thought u shouldnt really touch the idle adjustment cause its set to factory specifications already.

There is another adjustment screw underneath the throttle body that you can mess with. The one on the manifold/accelerator cable you are not supposed to mess with, but I never listen anyways You sorta have to feel around for the one under the throttle body. It is towards the right side of the throttle body. You don't have to take the intake elbow off. Feel for a little opening with your fingers underneath the elbow near the bolt holes of the black plastic round thing that has a hose connected on each end. Once found, find a suitable flathead screwdriver and turn to desired rpm.
