my fuel gauge is not working?
Pull the fuel pump carrier out of the tank and take a look. Sometimes the float comes off the sender or it could be a problem with the sender or the gauge itself. Better yet, bring the car by and I'll check it out.
My FD did the same thing a month ago. I poured in injector cleaner from AMS (same company that makes AMS synthetic engine oil) on next tank fill up. Left it parked over the weekend and drove it around to "slosh" the mixture about. The next day, the needle moved to full.
Kept doing this for a few days and the next fill up the needle registered full. Was probably stuck, but beats taking it out. I'm on the second fill up and still okay.
It's the lazy man's solution, but may have to remove it if problem recurs??? I also use AMS premix cycle oil at 150 : 1 ratio, don't know if this has any bearing on "stuck" gas gauge needle? Any suggestions?
