You guys sound like a bunch of ricers, "paint the wheels stock" and "I like the stock ones better." WTF is wrong with people on this board have you guys lost all sense in what looks good? Every other RX7... Actually every other freak'n hooked up car you see now at days has black rims, who the f*ck wants to be like everyone else, just an average Joe? Get some taste, volks are one of the best rims out in the market because the looks and performance they have (width, hieght, and weight).

As for the guy who made fun of his FMIC, grow up and realize that what counts under the hood is what performs not what's pretty. That is a greddy front mount with an hks sequential bov, which was on a 9 second Rx-7 (sporty). Keep bashing how his IC looks but like I said when you pop what matter is what you have not how pretty it looks.

BTW this is Alex, FD Rey's brother (don't start with the stand up for you bro shiznit!). For the guy who was asking, I've been laying kind of low lately because the hurricane and Rollins College (back in school). I'll try to get my car done whenever I have free time, but again it is my daily driver and I do have to go to college everyday (45 min drive) so it's kind of hard. Might be able to get my FMIC and motor rebuild labor day weekend. So don't worry I'll have her done sometime October, perfect time to take out some smack talking b*tches. Ohh, is this the guy with the blue Rx7 at Fuego's, if it is how are things going bro? Hope to see your car done soon, I've always wanted to race a fast FD.

Yes that is Josh's old car, do you know him from Chicago? That car has seen some major improvements since Josh owned it.

Josh now owns a S14 with an SR20, he use to own a S13 but crashed it. Motor was still good so he bought an S14 and droped it. Me and Rey would like to go to Chicago someday, I hear you guys have some pretty sick cars out there.

That is heat wrap around the cooler side of intercooler piping. Which helps a lot, it keeps the cool air in and the hot engine bay air out. We'll go hard on the Rx-7 for a while, pop the hood, and the top intake manifold is still cool. Most fmic kits I've seen without heat wrap tend to get very hot after the car has been run hard.

Looks very, very nice man. Clean and respectable. I've always modded my car with the thought in mind "If I pull up next to a Ferrari or a Porsche, will the guy look at my car with respect or laughter?"

Only thing I would change is get some of the circular '99 tails or alter yours to look like it. Otherwise, two thumbs up

...they cry when you pull away from them. If it's not from the shame of losing, it's from the exhaust gases.

I can afford a Ferrari, a Porsche, a Vette, but I like my FD just fine.

I knew him. I still talk to him every now and then online. He sure talks up his new ride.

I like the improvements. I've never seen the IC pipe wrapped like this. I suppose that would be logical. I guess most don't do it due to the obvious. Perhaps a wrap with an aluminum outter lining, something like they use for water lines in commercial and industrial applications to give it a more finished look?

It looks good. I like the new wheels better than the old for the record.

Thanks for the compliments and opinions. I build this car for myself and I am satisfied with the way it perfroms/looks/feels. And goodfella I do know exactly where you're coming from, because when I did pull up next to that Viper owner on the expressway he was deffinetly eyeing me.

what are you talking about everyone has black wheels you dont notice that everyone now wants gold rims? why dont you do purple rims no one will do that!

i dont get every one they all want to stuff no one else has well guess what someones allways going to be someone out there with the same stuff. so now your a ricer if you have black wheels or if you have something average joe has?

IMO i think if the wheels are badass but something is wrong with the color. the gold rims i think take away from the whole car. when i look at the pictures i dont focus on the car but i focus on the wheels. People liked the black wheels cause they blended into the car well and matched the front lip too. hell i wanted to GTU's for my car or BBS mesh no one was dissing the wheels just the color.

My opinion is the black wheels stuck out more, because the car itself is light in color, that much contrast was just too much... it is all opinion though so lets forget it all together.

I hope to either powdercoat my stock wheels 'nearchrome' or the Volk/Gram style gold. Eventually I want to get some BBS RGR's or Advan model 5's for my MB down the road.

Nice car, I like the wheels -- if you ever decide to change them let me know and I'll grab them up. Alex/Rey, I have a couple friends out here in Clermont trying to start a little car group get together, maybe we can find a couple other RX-7 owners (I know of two others in Clermont) and have a little meeting? I've been wanting to have a big RX-7/Mazda only meet for some time now. Everyone in the Orlando area keeps saying it would be cool but nothing is being produced...

For sure Kris, I am interested in an RX-7 meet for the Central Florida guys. Maybe we should post on the South East section and set something up for a Sunday maybe at the end of this month? I know I could probably get about 6-7 RX-7 to come out. We have 3 in the family.

Oh and Fumanchu, my brother, younger brother at that, has good sense and taste. It's not a matter of sticking up or not.

Okay, Rey -- lemme see if I can organize some plans first and I'll try to present them to the SE forums.

My AIM name is: d0pefish Lives

I met another FD owner near my work with a BB -- he is looking to sell it though but I might convence him to come to an event if I run into him again. One of the guys here in Clermont seemed like a tool, he was wearing an APC shirt when I met him and had one of those 'woodgrain' stick-on dash covers. The other is a MB that I havent talked to, just saw on the road. I know there are a TON of FD's in the UCF area, my friend tells me about them all the time, as well as several FB/FC's.

Oh I think I know who you are. Your motor was built by Kilo right? Damn, it's still not done? You were going with a GT40 turbo right? I'm thinking about getting a bigger turbo too so if you know who's got something for sale let me know.

Also Kris, lets set this thing up. Is your car out yet? I'm tired of hearing all these 7s being in the shop for way too long. Let's all get out there and cruise.

Everyway you look at it a single turbo is better. It's more efficient, you can get more power, it's more reliable, and the list goes on and on.
