My FD feels sluggish.

My fd feels sluggish when I step on the gas. Even if I floor my gas pedal my engine roars and then when I get to 3000 to 4000 rpm power starts to kick and it goes but it has a sluggish start. My boost gauge normally tops at about 12 psi boost but lately it has been going up to 5 psi and then dropping. Does this mean I have a turbo leak? My boost gauge can still get up to 10 psi but it doesn't stay there. Also, the is the strong odor of burned clutch afterward. My car is all stock.

If you think your clutch is going out, or maybe slipping, try to test it out.

Drive the car at like 30mph or so in 5th gear and accelerate. If you see the rpms jump or rev initially but the car is not moving, that means the clutch is slipping.

As far as your boost leak, if you're seeing 12 but it drops to 5, you have a possible actuator problem? Im not totally sure on that one.

Everything up until the clutch smell part sounds like turbo control system problems. But with the addition of the clutch smell, I would follow as 1QWIK7 has stated and try to verify that the clutch isnt slipping.

he also might not be getting boost because there is hardly a load on the car because the clutch is slipping. if theres no load then the turbos dont spool as fast or hard... i think
