My FD back on the street...

well.. i still have the 2000- 2500 rpm hesitation and can't go above it.. but I worked on a couple other things...

note... the hood is not bolted, the right 2 rims are have polished rims and the other 2 I haven't had a chance to get to them... also the diffuser will be taken off and cleaned up....

here are some pics... and still waiting for my FEED side skirts...

the wing looks very very very bad

also you should paint the rust spots on your rotors with some black high engine heat paint. it shows more with your rims

I like how the difuser makes the back end look but the spoiler needs to come off.

that's a very well done 7 the hood and front end look perfect and so does the paint
I also like the idea for polishing the lip of the wheels for contrast

Rotors are iron. If they sit for a while, they rust. When the brakes get used again, the rust goes away.

You also can't paint rotors, because aside from getting paint glazed on your pads, the paint will just get worn off from brake usage.

Really it'd look so much better wingless.

After painting my car, I thought about taking off the spoiler and putting on a diffuser but hell, all these contraption ruins the line of the car. I plug the holes to the rear hatch just in case I'll need the spoiler for track days. Otherwise, I'm wingless and it looks so clean.

My opinion and it's worthless but your car looks like it's overkill: either just the spoiler or just the diffuser. I would leave the spoiler on b/c the diffuser gives the impression that you ran over somebody trash can while backing out of the driveway.

hey,

i debated spoilers for a while too - I have spoilers that look exactly like that. I do think abotu taking off from time to time.. but then again, my car is clean.. if someone wants to knock it as rice for the spoiler.. so be it. I think it adds a sharp line to an otherwise ... almsot too smooth lines of the car.

nice looking car btw.

Jesus tapdancing christ that's one badass FD! Very tastefully done.

as for the wing debate, I dont seem to get the rice gag response I normally would from that style wing....on your car it just flows with the rest.

Two thumbs up.....WAAAAY UP!

one tip..ditch the Mazda seagul on the rear and go badgeless or Efini.

Thanks guys...

well... I'm goin to keep my wing on... i really like the GT-C wing... a least it's real and from Mazdaspeed..

I really like the 99 emblem.. simple and clean... everyone has the efini logo... I also don't want to go badgeless... that means I have to fill the holes... who knows.. maybe later.. oh.. plus I have the RZ decals on the side anyway...

OMG, your FD puts mine to shame! I absolutely love yours- wing, mazda badges, and all. Very nice eastern touch to it. What front end/rear diffusor is that?

HAHA I almost fell out of my seat

doncojones: no **** buddy I know you can't paint the actual rotor I'm talking about the interior of the hub where it gets all rusted out. I could see that in his pics.

Shinobi-X: its the feed front end without the turn lamps
