my fan runs a really long time

i was talkin to my dad and asked him how long his cooling fan runs after he shuts off his car..he told me..never longer than 10 minutes..well mine...no matter how long the car was running or anything...it stays on for like 50 years after i shut the car off...any ideas as to why?

Time it. It's probably 10 minutes.

shouldn't be coming on unless your car is getting really hot.. check all your ducting, my fans would never run after the car was off unless i got doing a bunch of highway pulls on my stock motor.

You are definitely running WAY too hot.

My fans have continued running after shut-off only one time in 1-1/2 years of ownership. That was after two back-to-back runs at the dragstrip in 100 degree heat.

Check your thermostat and radiator out.
