Need more amps? Well a 240 amp alternator will power just about any setup.. Keep in mind that this is for my STARXQUEST car and not an actual FD Rx7 but hey I got the FD engine and I am a rotary fanatic. --- Well since the pics are NOT showing up it is easier to just click on the first pic and then hit the right arrow to scroll thru the rest..

Oh you own a red Starion like me. I have a JA narrow-body Aussie Starion with the 2.0L 4G engine.

I also have the FD RX7.

Taking the FD engine out of the RX7 and putting it in a worse handling chassis is probably not the way I would have gone.

The Starion does have nicer (more lumbar adjustable) seats than the FD, but I would have left the FD engine in the FD and had the complete package- power plus handling too.

Not saying its a bad build you have there. Its just that I have had a few of both types of car. The Starion is nowhere near as nice a platform as the FD, nor are the parts as easy to find, and aftermarket parts for them are very hard to source unless you just make everything yourself. Hence why my Starion is up for sale because I have the FD.

That alternator is going to PUMP though :p

Well I always wanted a 6 speed and decided to go with the entire drive train from a wrecked RX8 I purchased to fit unto my Starion, since then I been in the process of switching to the more powerful turbo FD rotary engine, put it like this, I always loved the STARQUESTs, and I am a Rotary fanatic / enthusiast, so I got the best of two worlds in my opinion and a 6 speed .. I've bought plenty of aftermarket suspension and other parts for the Starion / Conquest way before I put a Rotary powerplant in there so they ARE available from a few sources.. Check out the link to my build guys for all the pics I got since day one.. And I got an electric water pump, two amps bridged to 1 ohm and gonna install an electric AC compressor amongst many other heavy electrical loads hence the need for more juice from a big alternator.. I don't have an FD but had an 79 Rx7 with an Erebuni wide body kit like 13 years ago, and two Starions since then, they got very comfortable back seats which is one good reason why I like em so much, other than being a bad *** frame / car from the 80's and Mitsu's LAST RWD made car.. Mine is gutted and pretty light and they do handle very well, surely it's no FD but that was not my idea, comparison at all, just me making my own custom race car daily driver machine..
