My BUY: good deal, or too much??
My BUY: good deal, or too much??
Only people w/ 7's can understand my philosophy. I bought a near mint condition '93 rx7 red on black leather for $18,100. It only had 19,900 miles, and looks like it has been babied, 100% unmolested.
I here people say that I paid the right price, and some say that is way too much (mostly people that have no clue what they are). "you paid 18 grand for a 93? are you crazy?" But i've watched a few go to this price on several occasions on ebay. Also, many predict that in 5 years, I could sell it for the same price if I don't over-mod it and don't beat it up. I'll bet anything I get at least 15K in 5 years if I keep it under 50K miles. These cars are becoming rare collectors cars if un-modded.
Any opinions??

I bought my 8300 mile fd in march, and it is my dd.I doubt that these cars will ever go up in value, like a 240z.Since you cant buy a new fd anymore buying a low mileage one is the way to go. Unless, you are looking for a single turbo with all the mods.Dont worry what other people say about the price. There a few people always bashing the asking price of sellers on this forum. They seem to be people who DONT have fds.Its a shame that supra forums think more highly of their cars and refrain from lowballing.I am on my 2nd low mileage fd and both have been very reliable. I think you got a great deal on that car.You will have a great time driving it,and a good resale is very possible too. Congrats
Forget about it. I paid a similarly high price for mine, and in many ways I feel it's a fair market value. It'll get worse when you read about the lucky ones who paid 12k for a mint R2 with 20k miles from some random old person. Forget about it now, or reading that stuff will rot your brain.

Do you really care that much what other people think? Do you like the car? Do you enjoy the car? That's is all that matters. These cars are not investments. If you have the money and can enjoy it, then do just that.
