Methinks you pulled and broke your ABS sensor wire.

check the wires and take out the sensor. make sure there's nothing stuck to the sensors as that will affect it if it is magnetic. clean them with brake cleaner.

Had the same problem too, I just clean the sensors like ALWAN 16 suggested and checked the wires.

My problem was in the ABS system itself, for I had drained my braking system and did not bleed it enough.

Good Luck

I just did my brakes and suspension a while ago. The car is still on jack stands for another couple of weeks waiting for a motor. How easy is it to break those ABS lines? I know I deffinitely pulled on them a few times in the front since its nearly unavoidable when you're replacing the suspension. Will it be obvious if there is a break in the wire, or will it break internally first and go unnoticed?

Had the same problem. Also the lights in the dash would flicker a little like they were losing a tiny bit of power.
Turned out to be a mostly blown, 120amp resistor (located in fuse holder attached to battery) Looked like it had been zapped a little, but didn't quite blow.

jpandes, when you say "busted a sensor", do you mean that you can replace just the little sensor mounted on the wheel, or the whole line too?

low break fluid shouldnt be the problem if you had low break fluid the break light would come on.

I have had the same probelm, but it comes on and off. Ever since the rebuild, after 2 weeks it has come on and refuses to come off. I have checked the sensors on more than one occasion. My mechanic says it is the ABS CPU.
What do you think guys ?

Seriously guys, check that 120 amp fuse (located in fuse box attached to battery). , and the 10mm bolt connections on each side. If those are loose, or that fuse has been zapped, but didn't quite disconnect that light WILL come on. I speak from experience.

Also, if you have a turbo timer, check all connections with that.

Also, check the fuse inside the car as well. I don't think it is exclusively an "ABS FUSE", check your car's owner's manual to figure out which fuse its linked to.
