Kuhmo tires
I then put 255/35/18s Kuhmos (which incidently are a little shorter in diameter) on 18X9 +42s up front and the rubbing (in the situation above) went away.
Wanting to gather more intelligence for tire/wheel fitment...:p

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
the closest sizes possible to stock are 245/35-18 and 285/30-18. those 2 sizes are almost IDENTICAL to each other in diameter, and only 0.1 inches larger than stock.
those 2 sizes are the closest to stock available. you will not find any size combination that is closer than that.
just a bit of usefull info.

Yellow Dragon is no more
stock 225/50R16 = 24.85 rolling diameter
both tires you listed = 24.75 rolling diameter
that is 0.1" shorter than stock. Don't forget that 255/30R18 is also very close to stock at 25.02 which is 0.17" taller. I think within 0.2" rolling diamter is more than acceptable and you aren't even going to see the difference on the speedo.

For example, my P Zero 285/30/18s specs out at 24.9in dia, though I have not bothered to actually measure it. My street wheels have not come in yet so they are not mounted, and my 245/35/18s Directionals are STILL on back order.
In either case, those sizes are more them close enough. I had 275/35/18s (theoritcal 25.58in dia) and could not tell any difference in speedo readout (though I'm sure its measureable, however slight it is).
BTW, I know you know it's a typo, but you meant the 255/35/18s are a theortical 25.02in. Just did not want to confuse anybody. The only manufacturer that I know that makes 255/30/18 (theortical 24.02in band aids) is Pirelli in thier P Zero Assems.
Thought about doing those sizes for the front, but rated rim width is 9-10" and I had already placed my order for 8.5" wheels in front. That, and the tread designs are assemetricals (vs directionals) and would probably be a handful in the wet. I've got the assems in the rear - don't need them in the front too.:p

those wheels/car looks great. I'm thinking about getting them for my car. Do you have any idea how much they weigh with, or without the tires, as weight will play a big part in which wheel I end up getting.
Thanks,
Brad

Its all those tasty little bolts/fixings that go around the rim, thats the culprit.
Funny though, as that my old SSR Decoltes 3 piece weighed in at 20lbs flat for a 18X9.5.
Heres what they look like on chaotica7's car, who I sold it to. Use to belong to Adam Saruwatari, and the centers were yellow to match his car. Centers were re-powder coated in charcoal - goes better with silver (my car) and looks darn good on c7's brilliant black. If I did not have a set of bling blings on order, I would be beside myself for selling them...
*edited for my silly typos, hehe*

so who out here runs a 245 or 255/35 in the front....I always thought it was too wide.... everyone runs the 235/40 which is most popular that I know....my car is on Eibach springs too...
