multiply easy questions
hi all, so i have a bunch of small questions that i cant for the life of me find on the forum or google some im hoping some of you well-versed FD rx7 guru's could help. important car info is that its a 94' FD 5 speed with a pfc, 850cc pri's and 1680 sec's with a single turbo conversion.
questions are as follows...
-there are 3 connections i believe on the alternator, is there a spade type terminal L on the harness if so where? I'm getting the oil level led (oil is filled), coolant level led (didn't put coolant in yet), battery and 4w-abs lights on the dash and from what i search thats the issue.
Answer - ?
-the car will only turn over when the clutch is pushed down even in neutral. i thought that it only needed to be push when starting in gear, is this a neutral safety switch issue or is this normal?
Answer - ?
-On my battery harness i noticed a 2 pin connector with i believe is a black/brown with a black/yellow maybe black/white wires. i cannot figure out where this connector goes to even after looking through all the wiring diagrams i downloaded. i can post pictures if needed.
Answer - ?
-on my commander for the pfc the fuel voltage is 4.8ish and highlighted, from what i searched this is because im not running the fuel temp sensor, if this is correct can i just plug in the sensor off of the old rail and electrical tape over is until i remake/order a tucked single turbo harness? or will it not cause issues with the car being able to start?
thank you for any help you guys can offer!

Q1:There are only 2 connections on the alternator. One is a big rectangle plug and the other is a ground I believe. Both*connections come off the charge/battery harness. I dont know about the abs light but the low coolant light shouldn't be on immediately. It takes a little bit for it to register the sensor isnt wet. You may not have the plug plugges in. The oil level sensor comes off the spark plug side of the oil pan. 2 pin white plug. The connection for that is also on the charge harness.
Q2: yes
Q3: yes, post a picture. It would be easier to identify the plug by being able to see it.
Q4: fuel voltage? Im guessing this is for fuel temp. You can do what you asked. That will work but I dont know how that will effect the car with it thinking the fuel temp is whatever the ambient air is. You should be able to de pin that from the ecu and it may work out better for you. The car will start without it plugged in.

Q1: The rectangular connector (2 LARGE pins) just clips right in and is there, the other (circular like starter) that uses the nut to tighten it down is also there however on the wiring diagram it shows a terminal that goes to the insrtument cluster and abs control unit which is why i was believing i have the abs light, battery light, exhaust over temp, oil and coolant on.
the coolant level sensor was deleted and i grounded the wire on the tstat housing bolt (forgot to mention)
Q2: 2 people agree so i dont have to be worries there
Q3: I will go out to the auto hobby shop and get a pic now
Q4: For the single turbo converted harness i didnt think it would affect anything since the rats nest is gone but i will go out to de pin it tomorrow after work after i look over the ecu connector lists to find it

okay so when i went to take pictures i found out that the 2 pin connector was for purge and the engine harness that i tried to convert to single turbo was pretty jacked up. now heres the new batch of questions haha..
Q1: i put a paper clip to both of the fuel temp sensor terminals and it was still highlighted in the PCF commander rearing 0.01V instead of 4.xxV without it. Does it need to be depinned from the ecu to be unhighlighted?
Q2: i read that if your turn signals work then your ignition switch is working, is this true?
Q3: For 850 primaries i was told that i can turn down the fuel pressure to around 23psi and the car will run until i can get it tuned, does this sound right? also is there anything i have to change in the PFC for a single turbo with 850's? i already turned off senquencial turbos in it.
again thank you for all the help so far! hopefully she'll be running by april
