I know it's a stout motor but I highly doubt those numbers are possible in a streetable setup. Second of all, by saying an MR2 can produce that but doesn't have as much 'pulp' as an FD?! Show me an FD that makes more than that on a streetable setup.

I love MR2s, they're great cars. If I wasn't all about FDs I'd be driving an MR2. I'm just saying, they're hardly on the same playing field and making 650whp isn't half as easy as you implied.

Given similar mods, an FD will destroy an MR2 on a road course.

Sorry man, but that **** don't fly. I'm not flamin (well, not intending to), but you cannot possibly begin to relate based on the experience with others. It's personal experience that holds up in this argument.

I love your "years of experience around road racers". Should have rephrased it to say "years of experience BEING around road racers".
So let me see if I have my facts straight (correct me if I'm wrong).
You're 18 years old,
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...5&pagenumber=2
don't have your first car,
guessed the gearing from a FD vs. Viper race you saw,
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=200965
While you can't give advice on a thread regarding a turbo timer, you saw fit to call someone an "*******".
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=201292
Able to offer advice on gauges, by telling them to "go Apexi" w/ nothing to support your argument.
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=198399
able to offer turbo advice on a T66, (w/ lord knows how much actual experience)
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=202693
am pissed at your friend who got a MR2 for graduation "cause of the bitches he pulls but If I had a FD they would of flocked over my way.",
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=197714
Ask questions such as how much rwhp to lift front end
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=202983
What are the biggest sized twin turbos to stuff under the hood of an FD.
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=199124
What is the most hp giving exhaust system for an FD?
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=198457
and yet able to spought off "predictions" for a car you've never driven, but is based on a car that you were able to road race (again, lord knows how many times you have actually done this).

IF you do this in the FD and dont correct your steering, YOU WILL eat the wall.

Edit:
Oh yeah, I've never driven a rear-engine vehicle before, but I can imagine there's a big difference between that and FWD/AWD/RWD front-engine ones (all of these I've driven).

I just have a problem w/ the contradictory and false statements that you put out.
The T66 and the FD vs. Viper thread is a fine example of what I'm talking about. With the T66, I'm betting that you don't have any experience w/ the turbo whatsoever. The ONLY notion that you're going by, is the fact that it "sounds" like a Greddy T-78 or T-88, which from a point of view, would make it SEEM like the turbo is a big turbo. Thereby, you would assume that nitrous would be required to spool it. I will readily admit IF my assumption of you on this particular topic is wrong.
The FD vs. Viper was funny because other people called you on your seemingly impossible guesses involving shift points, etc.
Now, you have the years of road racing. Which you stated in a manner which says that you have years of road racing experience. Not, your friends who have years of road racing experience. Thereby, all information gathered from your friends and passed down to you would be HERESAY information. Can this information be true? Yes. But, YOU passed off the information as if YOU had experienced it.
You want to be respected on this/any forum? Be honest. Don't pretend. There is ZERO shame is saying that you are new to anything.
You want to know what weak points I have? Turbos and Suspension. That is why I will primarily just sit and listen. I don't recommend turbos. Sure, I occasionally will be able to help w/ suspension topics (albeit rare occassions), but I will not recommend or comment on a turbo that I have no idea about.
You're an 18 year old who has his eyes glazed over on a FD. A FD that you will be financing (yes, I saw that thread too). On top of that, you want horsepower out the wazoo to lift the front wheels, do long smokey burnouts, and impress both racers and the ladies. Am I right so far?
There isn't anything wrong w/ that.
At the same time, you come to this forum and pretend to be a bada$$ w/ your road racing "experience", thug life, etc. Why do you pretend? I don't know. I don't care.
You want the names of some people who know what they are talking about on this forum?
jimlab, maxcooper, ARD T2, GoodfellaFD3S, Icemark, and numerous others. These people hands down, know their $hit. And when they talk about something, I listen. Why do these guys know so much? Because they are honest about who they are and have some sort of credential to prove it.
Ultimately, you decide what you want to do.

3RotorRocket: Give us a break, man. Perhaps you'd gain a little credibility here if you stopped creating posts about how much hp to lift your front wheels off the ground and who has the "mostest" hp FD on the forum.....
