MP/DP/Exhaust and highflow cats..

I know this is going to be a silly question for those of you with alot more technical knowledge than myself, but I'm still learning..

I'm trying to figure out how the MP/DP and exhaust relate to each other and the cat.. because I don't want to remove all cats for legal purposes and all, just put in a highflow cat and get rid of the excess crap, and let it breath as easy as possible..

What does a setup like this limit me to?

The DP replaces the Pre-cat. The MP replaces the Main Cat, and the Cat back is from the Cat back. A MP will require a ported wastegate, as the stocker can't handle all the flow. You aren't limited by using a Hi-Flo cat... I have on, and love it. I have no idea if I answered your question though....

A straight pipe gives better flow than a hi-flow cat, but a hi-flow is better than the stocker. Either way, messing with the exhaust beyond the DP is asking for trouble passing emissions, depending on how strict your state is. Indiana doesn't have checks though, so I'm happy

We don't have checks here either actually, but I'm just trying to be legal and enviro friendly, haha

That's what I thought.. that the MP replaced the main cat. That's what I was curious about.

So for my situation, I'd get a DP, catback, and highflo cat.

Easy enough Thanks guys

After you finish with the exhaust mods..before you do intake mod, then I'd suggest looking into purchasing a ECU upgrade or Apex PFC.
