Motor and turbos aside, how is the rest of the Rex's powertrain?
I've been searching and browsing the forums for the last 2 or so weeks and was wondering how the tranny, driveshaft, and rear end hold together. I get the impression that the 5th gear syncho is problematic, but other then that not much else. Do these cars need completely built power trains to handle 400rwhp, or just a better clutch?

Generally, once you get past 300rwhp or so, you'll need to upgrade the stock clutch.
As for the rest like the diff, that depends on your application. If you drag race, then 400rwhp will probably kill your diff after a short while. However, there are upgraded diffs like the Kaaz or simply adding a diff brace may suffice.
If you aren't drag racing, then the stock diff will probably hold up just fine.
