Motor transfer

How much work is it to tear down a cosmo engine to the bare short block and transfer all the FD parts to it?
Is it worth it to use a cosmo short block rather than a rebuilt motor?

I know of at least one guy who did this. I don't know his forum name, but if you searched for 'cosmo' or something like that you would probably pull up his thread. I think his real name is Michel.
