a more specific torque brace question....

Has anybody switched from a solid TB to a dampend TB?
Was there less rattling at idle (720 - 820 rpms)?
I have a solid brace from rx7store and when it's cold out, it rattles a lot (its fine if its > 70 F out). I pretty sure my motor mounts are fine, it's just the chasis sucking up the 'slight' vibration from this brace is a little too much for my taste. I tried rubber washers and re-adjusting it etc..., but none of it works. I'm wondering if anyone has SWITCHED from a solid to a dampened brace and noticed a signifigant difference in idle vibrations.

I don't know anyone that switched... But I do know that the guys with the dampered ones don't complain about vibration.... I had a solid one from the rx7store as well... Vibrated the wheel a bit, but I still liked it. Removed for other reasons though..

Thanks for the replies. I know a lot of people say that their car doesn't rattle with the damper designs, but some claim that the solid design doesn't rattle either. It seems to depend on the car. So before I go and spend $240 for the RE brace, I wanted to know if switching the brace actually solved the rattle problem for anybody...
I guess I may just have to be the guinea pig for this one.

Try one of Garfinkles braces for less money . If it rattles or you do not like you can return it , then spend more for the dampered one that does not have a damper .

I use a solid Border Racing brace, and don't notice any rattling at idle.. there is some increased vibration through the rpm range, but it seems to help my shifting tremendously so I can live with it

What are the prices for these braces? Where can I find the cheapest one? I assume the performance from each one would be similar.
