Did you go with the retrofit source for the Rings or with eBay? I think we talked about this briefly in the past.

Getting my car back from paint soon so I'll have to order some uras combo lights and get started on my build.

Everything is from the retrofit source, all morimoto LEDs. Really nice quality - the best I've seen in LEDs. The ones I used (all white versus the new switchback ones) are on closeout sale so you can score some good deals on them.

I used the following per side:

1) 70mm white COB ring
1) 60mm white COB ring
1) 1157 switchback LED bulb - modified the 1156 socket with an 1157 unit so I can have white DRLs and then change to amber for the turn signals
1) xChange driver to control turning off the white 1157 bulb when the headlights come on
1) 194 LED for the parking light

Going to add in one more xChange driver per side to turn off the white COB rings when the turn signal is activated on that side.

^ The red part of the build is made from angel eye diffuser lenses from:

https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...vers/660/4334/

I matched the diffuser lens sizes to the size of the COB LED rings. So, the diffuser lenses start out as clear covers intended to be placed over the LED rings. Since the COB rings don't need to be diffused, I therefore mounted the COB rings to the top of the diffuser lenses. Ideally, the COB rings would have fit nicely on top of the diffuser lenses, but this didn't quite happen. I needed to trim down (with my Dremel) the inside of the diffuser lens so the COB rings would then fit. This took a bit of time as I did it by hand.

Once I did this, then I painted the ring red, followed by taping off the part I wanted to remain red (what you see), and then finally, painting the rest black. The resulting ring then was fitted, epoxied, and bondo'd into place to become part of the turn signal housing.

Long answer to a simple question right?
