mods needed for nitrous

Not looking to use it quite yet, but I'm wondering what all is needed/reccomended to run a dry nitrous shot of 55-75hp?

is it different with a Zex kit?

engine is race ported with stock turbos, PF ECU, stock injectors, new oem fuel pump

everyone has their own opinion, but I think nitrous is queer.

With appropriate bolt on mods the rest is driver and GREAT tuning w/ a rotary. You don't need NNAAAWWZZZ

I don't have the car yet, and actually i don't plan on using nitrous, I'm sure the car is as fast as I will ever use.

I'm strictly asking for sake of knowledge.

but just for fun, the car has absolutely ever engine part PFS makes, it was tuned by them for 10psi, 12psi, and 15psi with their piggyback, PFS raceport, silicon hoses, koyo rad., Pettit AST, hard IC pipes, rebuilt and ported stock turbos (still seq.)

A wet nitrous system is a much better idea. The good thing about nitrous is that it lowers your intake temps a ton. People love to bash nitrous, i say if you like it use it. Power is power no matter how you get it.

NO2 wouldn't be bad to have in the rare instance where you come up against a car that can beat a mildly modified 7.

bashing nitrous is as bad as bashing race fuel or slicks, they aren't used on the street, they are just as much "cheating" as nitrous

If you can run NO2 why wouldn't you just turn up the boost?

Fuel is needed for both... just a matter of one being safer.

yeah to the point where your turbo(s) is/are maxed out. And when going to a bigger turbo will cause lag. Twins with nitrous is the ultimate in response, nice to have on the street. Sure a T-78 can make the power and have room to turn up for the strip, but who wants to wait for it.

that's crazy, that's the page I stumbled across that made me post this question.

I was searching for stock 1/4 times and because the site has a "1/4 mile ET calculator" it produced a hit

There are a few reasons for not turning up the boost. When your running pump gas, you can only run so much boost. Most people dont like to use their high boost setting all the time, so when they arent using their high boost setting and are tuned for a high boost setting they are dumping too much fuel into there motor and are losing a good deal of power. Nitrous is also good for spooling a slow spooling turbo as where you only benifit from turning up the boost when your fully spooled. Also, nitrous lowers intake temps which equates to more power and less risk of detonation. There are a ton more im sure. I dont have nitrous on my car nor plan to put it on anytime soon, but i do like the idea of being able to bolt on instant power that i can have any time i want. I have a t78 turbo on my rx7 by the way, so its not like Im a cheap person trying to make tons of horsepower.
