modifying stock turbos

on my evo, i upgraded the exhaust side with a larger wheel and housing. it responded great and held boost longer with lower intake temps. not to mention i droped from an 11.97 with the bone stock turbo to a 11.77 and gained 5 mph with this simple upgrade. Ive been searching this board and havent seen anything remotely like this except for BNR stage 2 which i dont think they make anymore. and these were just rebuilds using larger wheels. Ive rebuilt my own turbos before in my audi s4, using k16 compressor wheels, and k04 turbine wheels in ported 0 clearanced stock housings. it was great and didnt even set me back a grand. I want to know if there are any wheels for turbos from other cars that are capable to use in the stock turbos? i have people that can port and clearance the housings to proper fitment if need be. has anyone reuilt their stock turbos using larger wheels? a link to these threads would be nice.... if they exhist.

The BNR Stage 3s are aftermarket CHRAs in modified stock housings. You can't upgrade the Hitachis as easily as you did with your BW-KKK/Mits turbos on your other cars.

No, and it increases lag.

also, i thought the brn stage 3's were larger housings? iu saw a pic of them next to stockers and they looked much larger.
