Question Modifications from stock

Ok. I have read the recommendations and still have questions. I do not have plans to heavily modify my FD. With that said I am ordering an M2 downpipe and am wondering about the stock airbox mod. The catback is stock. I don't like the really loud ones plus it is roughly one year old from Mazda. (came with the car when I bought it)

So my question is, does it make any sense to do the airbox mod if I keep the stock catback and if so should I look at a boost controller or should I not need it?(granted it depends on the car but in general)

Thanks

The airbox mod will help a lot. Mine made a big difference, and that was with the stock catback (at first). I later bought a RB cat back. It helped a little, but not much of a difference.

You should install a boost controller when you do the airbox mod. The Home depot controller works well, and is inexpensive, and easy to install.
