I think its time i started mods in my FD3S. I ll need a lot of help from you guys. The first thing I wanna do go for intakes, any suggestions?which company.I was thinkin about Blitz. I have a Borla Boomer in my car rite now just the end piece is it a good exahust for RXs.

i went with the greddy airinx intake with a heat shield and it seems to be working good it looks good too

Both good deals, any intake is better than the stock one, you'll notice a good performance boost.

After you look into an intake look for a downpipe as your next mod, helps out a LOT. Also look for a newer ECU down the line, then you can start gaining some real power.

I like the apexi better. There was a study done where the apexi actually gave the most power increase. I think they look really good too :)

Which is what I did after getting the m2 large intercooler. It is not hard to do. Just pick up 2 RD-0720 K&N filters, vent your bov and crv, and connect the filters.

I think I saw that study too. Apexi does look real good and they perform just as well...but I'm a cheap focker...I have NO intakes:eek:

I would advise you to get a downpipe as your first mod and not an intake. Then, get a boost gauge and water temp gauge (or linearize stock one).

As far as intakes go, the Apexi intake will prevent you from upgrading to a larger SMIC in the future. I also don't believe in the hot air intakes, but that's a highly debated topic. Whatever you do, do not get a foam filter system. I don't have personal experience but several long term members have used them and have found them to be crap. They don't filter well and tend to send little pieces of foam into the intake as they degrade.

I have the M2 and like it. They now make it in carbon fiber, looks sweet. I like the idea of keeping as much of the engine bay heat out of the intake as possible. Then if you decide to upgrade your intercooler, the M2 medium SMIC mates nicely to their intake.:zip:
